Philly Office Comp
San Francisco, Calif. (February 13, 2018) – Syapse, a leader in precision medicine solutions, has expanded its Philadelphia-area location in a larger office in Radnor, Pennsylvania, and announced plans to double its presence in the Delaware Valley in 2018.
The San Francisco-based company, which enables hospitals and healthcare providers to deliver precision cancer care, closed $30 million in Series D financing last year and recently expanded internationally by entering the Asia-Pacific region.
“Our goal at Syapse is to make precision medicine available to every cancer patient who needs it, and our expansion in the Philadelphia area will play a critical role in helping us achieve that goal,” said Ken Tarkoff, CEO of Syapse. “Building on our successes in 2017, we’re rapidly growing our Philadelphia workforce in 2018 to help more healthcare providers in all parts of the country deliver the best precision care to the patients they serve.”
Syapse first entered the Philadelphia area in 2014 to take advantage of the region’s strong talent pool, and has attracted and retained some of the region’s most talented health IT experts.
The Philadelphia office hosts employees in a variety of functions, including software engineers, account managers, and operations support—all teams that Syapse plans to expand in 2018. The new office space is across the street from the Radnor regional rail station and has a cafeteria and fitness center.
“The Philadelphia region is a major center of both technical talent and leading healthcare organizations, which makes it an ideal location for high-growth health IT companies,” said Michael Italia, who leads the Philadelphia-area office and is Senior Director of Product Development at Syapse. “We have been fortunate to attract some tremendous talent in the area, and we’re proud to help make precision medicine a reality for more patients who need it.”
